On this night Lorenzo will present a collection of songs, mostly unheard until now. A blend of original works and reimagined pieces, crafted for double bass, voice, and live electronics. At times raw and haunting, at others intense and emotionally charged.
Rooted in jazz, folk, and experimental sound, the set unfolds like a series of voice notes finally brought to light, intimate, expressive, and authentic.
Ascension
With her new series Ascension, Sophia Clara adds an unfiltered sensuality to her existing oeuvre, deepening her visual language into a rhythmic experience of color and energy. In this new series — a collection of paintings in which seven female figures take on charged, radiant positions — she reveals not only an unfiltered approach to physicality and femininity, but also introduces her new love: a long-awaited, passionate affair with oil paint. The figures lend themselves masterfully to this medium, captured in raw, sensual, instinctive strokes. Which results in the flexible, rhythmic, and deep flow of Ascension.
The recurring body depicted by Sophia is not merely a figure — it is a channel. Ascension is a visual meditation on strenght, femininity, and the primal human yearning to fully inhabit the transcendence.
