‘PARLOUR Presents:’ is a series where we highlight independent music labels, curators, booking agents, and artists, opening our space as a blank canvas for whatever shade of artistry they choose to present on our stage.
This time, we're shining a light on Second Hand Sunset, the singer-songwriter duo of Nipun Vashishta and Sauvik Bhattacharya. Formed in a tiny corner of Amsterdam on a secret Sunday, it brings together Nipun’s Indian classical singing and Sauvik’s jazz guitar playing, enveloped into a dark, folk-inspired acoustic atmosphere. Meeting over influences such as Damien Rice, Iron & Wine and Ben Howard, Second Hand Sunset sings about hidden loves, lost homelands, growing up pains and identity.
On this night, The PARLOUR brings Second Hand Sunset to you in an intimate, private setting. Discover their misty world as the duo tell you their musical story through a combination of songs and poems, both new and old.
