About the event
Music Madness is BACK thanks to PARLOUR AMSTERDAM!
Originally a collaboration between Butchers Tears Brewery and Paul Manwaring, the concept was to give fresh, local singer songwriters Paul found at various open mics in Amsterdam an opportunity to perform longer sets and record their live sessions. Since its inception in December 2022, over 20 up and coming artists have been featured, with several growing their audience through this exposure to the point of releasing singles and EPs.
This very first Music Madness event at PARLOUR AMSTERDAM features:
Sjoerd Rensma — This indie rock artist has been writing his own music for about a year now, experimenting with interesting guitar parts and lyrics. Currently he has no music recorded but hopes to get some out soon. In the meantime you can find and follow him on Instagram sprig.brick: https://www.instagram.com/sprig.brick/
Marina Oliveros — A passionate musician who stays true to her Spanish roots when creating or performing. Her musical influences span bolero, groove, and R&B, giving her a unique and soulful sound. In her free time, she enjoys working as a ceramist, finding a different form of creative expression through her hands.
Currently in the process of rediscovering her own energy and the stories she wants to share with others, Marina's journey is one of continual growth and exploration. Having lived in Amsterdam, she now resides in Madrid, where she continues to develop her artistry and connect with her cultural heritage. You can find and follow her as well: https://www.instagram.com/marina.oliveros/
Michelle De Hossen — is 28 years old and “een echte Amsterdammer”. She started to write songsa in Summer 2023 and since then it’s been her daily addiction. She claims she is “still developing a personal style, but all my songs are a expression of the feelings I (and i think lots of other people) experience in (love)relationships. Sometimes it’s just better to sing about it.”
She is teacher and accomplished artist with her own website https://www.michelledehosson.com and, of course, Instagram https://www.instagram.com/michelle.de.hosson/
